Jon Tubby

Resident Estate Manager, Gourmet Chef

Prior to Chef Jon’s (JT’s) appointment as Gourmet Chef at Mango Manor, he was trained in some of the finest kitchens in Paris, the French Alps and the Balearics, where, spotting his talent, a yacht captain offered JT the Executive Chef position on-board a busy charter mega yacht. Traveling the world, JT sampled foods from Tahiti, Brazil, the Far East and the Mediterranean, adding to his repertoire and creating absolutely sublime menus. For seven years he wowed the world’s elite with his exquisite cuisine. To JT, the ethos of the owners and this property, with its gardens and beautiful fruit trees, is the epitome of what he desires as an extension of his kitchen, making the decision to move to land from sea effortless.  Whether it is sourcing from local farmers, gardeners, fishermen or vendors, or simply creating tasty dishes from Mango Manor’s own herb and vegetable garden, Chef JT’s cuisine continues to wow guests and is by far an experience all of its own! Born in “The Fine City” of Norwich, England, this small town Brit loves only one thing more than football; beautiful, delectable food. As a certified scuba diver, JT is happy to accompany those interested in exploring the beautiful waters of the BVI.

The “Dainty Dane,” as we like to call him, Harley is a Great Dane with the gentlest of natures. Harley is a bit shyer than his big brother Duke but once he warms to you, he will surely become one of the sweetest dogs you’ve ever met. Harley is patient and kind with children and has been known to have a baby or two snuggling into his tummy and playing with his ears. Harley loves to chase Duke along the garden paths of Mango Manor and just a mention of the word “beach” in his vicinity will bring on an energetic and excited side of him that will make anyone smile.
